November 25, 2013

Barnes County's Salvation Army annual red kettle drive begins this week on Black Friday. Organizers hope to raise $40,000 this year, $10,000 more than the goal last year, but still less than the record-breaking amount raised last year.
This year's fundraising campaign begins Friday, Nov. 29, and lasts until Christmas Eve. The familiar red kettles will be set up at Leevers Foods, Marketplace Foods and Shopko in Valley City.
