Weekend football stats
The Valley City High School football team put up over double the offense they allowed in their 40-14 win over Central Cass Thursday.
The Hi-Liners had 296 total yards of offense, 222 rushing, and allowed only 142 to the visiting Squirrels.
Anthony Olstad finished with 94 yards rushing on 18 attempts with two touchdowns. Shane Undem had 55 yards on 12 attempts. Tayler Lentz finished with three interceptions, one of which was run back for a touchdown and caught three passes for 34 yards, one for a touchdown.

Maple Valley/Enderlin had two 100-yard rushers in the co-op's 20-14 win over Oakes Friday.
The Falcons were led by Thomas Lindgren, who had 25 rushes for 154 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Jordan Haseleu, who had 10 rushes for 106 yards and a touchdown. Running back Dacotah McGough had 13 rushes for 58 yards.
Corby Richman led MVE with nine tackles and an interception.

VCSU Basketball Hosting Alumni Games
With the regular season only weeks away, the Valley City State University basketball teams will be hosting alumni games.
Alumni of both the mens and womens team will take to the floor of the W.E. Osmon field house to test their skills against this year's VCSU teams.
The mens game is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a slam dunk contest and 3-point shootout. Entrance is free.
The womens game is scheduled for Oct. 27.
