VCSU Basketball Tipping Off This Weekend
The Valley City State University basketball teams open the season this weekend against top-tier competition.
The men and women play Friday at Northwestern (Iowa) College and Saturday at Dordt (Iowa) College.
The Friday women's game will have the Vikings, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, going against the No. 2 team in the country and a three-time national champion. The men, ranked No. 24, will get the No. 7 ranked team in the country at Northwestern. Both games can be viewed online at nwcraiders.com/media.
Dordt College's mens team enter the season ranked No. 3 and the Dordt women are unranked. The games will be streamed at dordt.edu/athletics.
The Viking women enter the season looking for their third straight NAIA tournament berth and the men look to make the NAIA tournament despite barely missing the field last year.
