No Flood Predicted, but City Leaders Prepared

April 4, 2013

While flooding isn't predicted in the Valley City area this year, city officials recently held a tabletop exercise in the event of an unpredicted flood disaster. The exercise addressed the city's readiness, what resources would be available and how the chain-of-command would work during flood response.
The exercise was especially important to the city administrator and the police chief who are both new to the area.
For more on the city's tabletop exercise, read Thursday's Times-Record.
