A grand opening at MO eats, located in the former Broken Spoke Building, is planned for Friday beginning at 10:30 a.m.
A new restaurant in Valley City is having its grand opening Friday. Located in the former Broken Spoke building at 100 Central Avenue South, MO eats serves common Midwest breakfast and lunch meals with a southern flair, said owner/operator Amanda Clark.
The eatery will officially open Friday at 10:30 a.m. and will remain open until 3 p.m. and will be open after that for regular hours, which are Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clark said the special for opening weekend will be 15 percent off the total ticket this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the restaurant will feature specials daily from then on.
MO eats serves a variety of breakfast and lunch meals with a southern take on Midwest favorites, Clark said. Some feature items include southern French toast, breakfast burritos, shrimp and grits, and fried green tomatoes. They also plan to serve homemade bread bowl soup each day. The menu can be viewed on the restaurant's website, www.moeats.co. Breakfast is served all day, and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m.
All meals are made from scratch, including the bread — made in the bakery that her mother Deb Holmes manages — which is located inside the restaurant.
