Neighborhood Flood Meetings Set for Thursday

Public information meetings on flood control will be held for two neighborhoods in Valley City Thursday, Jan. 28.

The meeting for Neighborhood C, from the powerhouse to Bettin's Nursery, will be held at 6 p.m., and the meeting for Neighborhood D, from Bettin's Nursery to the bridge on Eighth Avenue Southwest, will be held at 8 p.m. Both meetings will take place at the Valley City Eagles Club, 345 12th Avenue Northeast.

The meetings will look at the long term flood control options for Valley City. It will include discussion of project alternatives, construction impacts and community input, said KLJ engineer Erik Gilbertson.

Representatives from the City of Valley City and KLJ will be on hand to answer questions and discuss concerns from the community.

The meetings for Neighborhood E, from Eighth Avenue Southwest to Interstate 94, and Neighborhood F, south of the interstate, will be held Thursday, Feb. 4.
