Morgan Nalley NSAA Softball Pitcher of the Week

(VCSU Athletics) Valley City State freshman right-hander Morgan Nalley limited Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) to one run on five hits in a 2-1 win and held Mount Marty (S.D.) to two runs on three hits in a 4-2 victory

Valley City State freshman right-hander Morgan Nalley is the North Star Athletic Association Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Nalley, of Pocatello, Idaho, tossed a pair of complete-game victories for Valley City in Tucson, Ariz., in which she limited Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) to one run on five hits in a 2-1 win on March 14 and added another triumph as she held Mount Marty (S.D.) to two runs — one unearned — on three hits in March 16’s 4-2 contest.

For the week, Nalley recorded an earned run average of 1.00 and allowed just eight hits and three total runs. She accumulated a total of nine strikeouts, 4.5 strikeouts per game.

Nalley improved her season record to 2-2 and lowered her ERA to 2.41.
