This photo showing Litchville's Main Street in 1967 is one of 500 photos that will be shown during a slide show presentation in the town Friday, Aug. 1. The photos are from the late Wallace and Thelma Hansen photo collection. Their son Stan will present the program.
Area residents can catch a glimpse of what rural Barnes County town Litchville looked like when business was thriving during a public slide showing at the Litchville Community Center Friday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.
Jamie Smith, a resident there, said, "Many of us have memories of how Litchville was back in its heydey — a time when storefronts were full and business was thriving."
She said those days are mere memories for the older folk and stories to the younger generations; they cannot be brought back, "but thanks to (the late) Wallace and Thelma Hansen photo archives, we can look back through the lens of a camera at some of the events and people from 1958-1972."
Wallace and Thelma are the parents of Stan Hansen, Valley City, who will present the program.
