MBB: Viking Men Receive Votes in Final NAIA Poll

March 27, 2013

After a 20 plus win season and the first ever NAIA Division II National Tournament berth, the Valley City State University Men's Basketball team finished the 2012-13 season one spot outside of the top 25 poll.

The Vikings received 42 votes for the final poll, placing them one spot out of the top 25, the highest team not ranked in the final poll of the season.

After being ranked in the poll much of the season, the Vikings received an at large bid to their first ever NAIA Division II National Tournament. A first round loss to Indiana Southeast finished the Vikings season at 21-9.

Valley City State will graduate five seniors from the 2012-13 squad.
