Mabel Miller Celebrates 90th Birthday

August 26, 2013

Valley City resident Mabel Miller celebrated her 90th birthday Aug. 3 at the Legacy Place.
The party began when Joe and Ian Pytlik picked Mabel up in their 1958 Mercedes Convertible. Mabel was a bit worried about having that windblown mess up her hair-do but Joe said they would roll up the windows (while leaving the top down). He promised his grandma that when they dragged Central Avenue and Main Street, Joe would hold the car's speed below 60 mph. Upon arriving at the party at the Legacy Place, Mabel was greeted by her four children and their spouses; nine grandchildren and six spouses; and 13 great-grandchildren.
