April 1, 2013

Destiny Winkler's artwork of the greater white-fronted goose, named for the distinctive white band at the base of its bill, has been selected by judges to be the 2013 Best of Show in the North Dakota Junior Duck Stamp Contest, sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Valley City High School senior high art teacher Kelly Callahan shares her passion for science, wildlife and art with her students every year in a contest that combines all three. Every year, VCHS students do well, and this year was no exception.
