Local Mud Runner Brings Interest to Community

June 5, 2013

HJ Norman stands between his two trucks built for mudding, a Mazda on the left and a 1985 Chevy, right, which he calls "Bi Polar."

As the owner of two pickup trucks customized with the ability to run through very deep mud, local resident HJ Norman wanted his hometown to have the same experience he and his family does when they play in the mud. Next week, the Valley City resident has the chance to show what his trucks are made of and help the North Dakota Winter Show run its very first mud bogs during Rally in the Valley community days weekend June 15-16.
The mud bogs will be held Saturday, June 15 at 4 p.m. Gates open at 2 p.m., and there will be concessions of food and beer.
Norman owns two lifted pickup trucks that he rebuilt with the ability to drive through deep mud and sloughs.
