Lady Loboes Beat North Sargent, then South Border

Lady Loboes basketball bounced back from Feb. 11's 48-43 home defeat at the hands of No. 5 Maple Valley with a 51-36 road win at North Sargent on Feb. 13 for their eighth win in the last 10 games dating back to Jan. 18.

LaMoure/Litchville-Marion led North Sargent 19-9 after a quarter, 25-18 at halftime and 36-31 before running away with a 15-3 scoring advantage in the fourth.

Senior guard/forward Courtney Carlson and 8th-grader guard/forward Anna Holen led the Loboes with 12 points and senior guard Tasha Piehl 10 more, all of whom sank two three-pointers.

Bobcat junior forward Karah Sandness powered North Sargent with 12 points.

LLM defeated South Border 49-43 on Thursday night and now stands 4-0 in District 5 action and 12-6 overall. They wrap up the season at Strasburg/Zeeland at 7:30 p.m. Saturday before entering the District 5 Tournament Feb. 28 - March 3 in Ellendale.
