May 23, 2013

Twenty to 30 children, parents and caregivers hold new children's books obtained by the Valley City-Barnes County Public Library with the help of a grant from the Libri Foundation.

After listening to several books read by Valley City Auditor Avis Richter Wednesday, about 20 Valley City youngsters had a chance to see a large selection of new children's books the Valley City-Barnes County Library obtained with the help of a grant.
Hammel said all the books being obtained with the help of the grant from the Libri Foundation have now been received. The books include a wide selection of children's books, including books in braille, Hammel said. The 70 books are valued at about $1,070.
