Kenneth and Peggy Beyer of Bonita, California, passed away this fall just 3 weeks apart. Kenneth was born in Valley City, North Dakota on 10/18/35 and passed away on November 14, 2012 after suffering from a severe stroke. Peggy was born in Yankton, South Dakota on 5/14/34 and passed away on October 22, 2012 after a year-long battle with lung cancer. Both Kenny and Peggy were raised in Valley City, North Dakota. Kenny always talked about his sport’s days as a “Hi- Liner”. Peggy treasured the friendships she had in Valley City and continued to keep in contact with her friends through the years. Kenny and Peggy were married at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City on January 15, 1956. They had many special memories of Valley City. After serving a few years in the U.S. Army, Kenny and Peggy moved to California. They never missed the snow in North Dakota and were very happy they lived in warmer climate in California. Kenny retired from the aerospace industry and spent his spare time with carpentry. Peggy enjoyed sewing and caring for her children and grandchildren. Kenny and Peggy are survived by their 3 children: Teri, Kirby, and Tonja, their 7 precious grandchildren, and their adorable great grandson. Peggy is also survived by her brother, Jack Holm, of Fargo, North Dakota, and Marilyn Monson of Bismark, North Dakota. Both Kenny and Peggy were adored by their family and friends and will be dearly missed. Their internment is planned for December 13, 2012 at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
