Joe Diemert, 69, of Peyton, Colorado, passed away Oct. 3, 2013, under Hospice care in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Joe was born Oct. 4, 1943, in Valley City, ND, to Clifford and Lillian (McGrail) Diemert. He graduated from Eckelson High School in 1961.
Joe served in the US Army from 1964-1966. Following his discharge, Joe made Colorado his home where he was employed by the Colorado Springs School District as a master plumber. He also owned and operated Joe's Plumbing Service.
In 1972 Joe married Deloris Munsch. She died in 1991. In 1992 he married Marta Albertson. She died in 2008.
Joe is survived by siblings: Grover (Katie) Diemert, San Diego, CA, Barbara (David) Kunze, St. Cloud, MN, Mary (Ronald) Wendel, Valley City, Elizabeth Sandness, Jamestown, Peter (Darcy) Diemert, West Fargo, Clifford Jr. (Carla) Diemert, Sanborn, many nieces, nephews, step-children, and step-grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, wife Deloris, wife Marta, brother-in-law Richard Sandness, infant brother, and infant niece.
Funeral services were held on Oct. 8, 2013, at Memorial Gardens Chapel in Colorado Springs. Following the service, Joe was laid to rest in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
