Janel Alane (Hook) Bzdok

Janel Alane (Hook) Bzdok, age 58, died Monday, November 18, 2013 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Janel was born the daughter of Lloyd and Phyllis Hook on August 22, 1955, in Valley City, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Valley City and graduated from Valley City High School in 1973.
Janel was married to Ray Bzdok on August 18, 1973. They had 2 children, Shane and Stacy, and lived in the Valley City area until Janel graduated from VCSU in 1985 with a degree in education. She was incapable of saying anything against another and always sought out the best in each person she met. Her exuberance was on display each year on her birthday when she would do cartwheels down the hall at school. Janel most recently served and enriched the lives of children at Santos J. Forte Jr. High School in Azle, TX where she taught 7th grade.
Janel treasured her grandsons, loved riding anywhere with Ray on their Harley-Davidson, baseball (especially the Chicago Cubs) and playing cards with her mother and sisters in Valley City each summer.
Janel is survived by her husband, Ray, son, Shane, Austin, TX, daughter, Stacy, Denton, TX, grandsons Christian and Nicholas, Denton, TX, mother Phyllis Hook, Valley City, sisters Nancy (Jerry) Johnstun, Weippe, ID, Cindi (Mike) Malsam, Valley City, ND and Lori (Brian) Heath, Valley City, ND, her aunt Aileen Busche, Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews.
