VCSU Women Drop in NAIA Poll
The Valley City State University womens basketball team dropped 12 spots in the sixth NAIA Division II womens basketball coaches' poll, released Tuesday.
The Vikings are ranked No. 25 in the new poll, down from No. 13 last week.
They trail in-state opponent in the rankings, including Jamestown College (No. 14) and Mayville State (No. 20), which earned its first national ranking since the 2007-2008 season.

The Vikings are ranked No. 24 in the new poll, down from No. 20 last week.
No other North Dakota schools are ranked in the poll.

Horner Named Wrestler of the Week
The Farmers Union Insurance wrestler of the week is Steven Horner.
Horner, a heavyweight, advanced to the finals of the Storhaug Invitational in Lisbon last weekend. Steven had a dominating 6-0 win over Tyler Ringdahl of Wahpeton to solidify his position as one of the top ranked heavyweights in Class A. Steven has battled through numerous injuries this season and is in contention for a state title.
Steven currently has 18 wins on the season against only 6 losses.

Raider Girls Ranked No. 4 In New Poll
An undefeated weekend at the Barnes County Tournament allowed the Maple Valley girls basketball team to move into the top-five of the Class B girls basketball poll.
The Raiders are 9-1 with their only loss coming in overtime against Valley City last month.
The Maple Valley and LaMoure/Litchville-Marion boys both received votes in their poll.
The Class B basketball polls are compiled by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
