James A. Herr
James A. Herr, age 80, of White Sulphur Springs, Montana passed away early Monday morning, July 15, 2013 at Mountain View Medical Center in White Sulphur Springs, Mt.
He was born James Arthur Herr in Valley City North Dakota, October 15, 1932 to Bernard O. and Myrtle (Bommelman) Herr and grew up in Kathryn, North Dakota. James attended and graduated from Fargo Barber School, he stayed with this career his entire life retiring at the age of 79.
James and Ardell Bloom were married in Taylor, North Dakota June 4, 1961. They had three children, James, Steve and Brenda. James was a very plain, simple, kind and loving man. He enjoyed woodworking, snowmobiling, travel, grandkids, activities and yard work.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Berniece King.
James is survived by his wife Ardell of White Sulphur Springs, MT, daughter, Brenda (David) Dean of Billings, MT, sons, Steve Herr of Billings, MT and James (Vickie) Herr of Locust Grove, Oklahoma. grandchildren, Josh Dean of Garden City, Kansas, Tanner Herr of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Dylan Dean of Billings, MT; brothers, Ben Herr of Park Rapids, MN, sisters, Mary Ann Miller of Valley City, ND and Lorraine Hanson of Searttle.
A private burial will take place at Mayn Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs. The family invites to join them in remembering Jim at a social gathering to be held Friday, July 19, 2013 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Senior Center in White Sulphur Springs.
