Impact World Tour hits VC

May 3, 2012

Youth With A Mission will be offering a banquet on the Impact World Tour on Thursday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in the St. Catherine’s Elementary School Gym.
“Feel free to bring your spouse or friends,” Executive Director of Faith In Action at Mercy Hospital Vicki Grafing said in an email. Faith in Action is a part of the community faith leadership that is bringing in YWAM’s Impact World Tour.

“We will have a great praise band playing a couple songs; you’ll see the powerpoint presentation of what IWT is.”

The Launchout Banquet will be free to the public, and will be offering information on transformation in the community. The group is trying to “lighten up” the gospel and bring it to the 21st Century. YWAM has members from 149 countries and numerous different Christian denominations.

YWAM has three focuses in its ministry: Evangelism where creative tools and talents are used to present the gospel through drama, music, arts and sports camps, the Mercy Ministry is a more hands-on approach with members helping about 400,000 people annually around the world, and Training and Discipleship to help equip Christians to better serve others.
