Hundreds Watch NDWS Horse Pull

A team of draft horses pulls a skid during Thursday's N.D. State Open Horse Pull at the North Dakota Winter Show. Kenneth Markham took first place in the percentage pull with horses Ret and Doka, while Tracy Hanson took first place in the heavyweight pull with his team of Rock and Wally.

The 2013 North Dakota State Open Horse Pull took place Thursday at the North Dakota Winter Show.
Ten teams of draft horses competed in two categories – the Percentage Pull and the Heavyweight Pull.
Teams from North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin competed.
