Hobbyists Show Off at Old Time Tractor Show

March 7, 2013

Retired farmer from Litchville Donald Pollert pulls his tractor at this year's old time tractor pull.

The old time tractor pull held at the North Dakota Winter Show Tuesday gives tractor hobbyists a chance to show off their restorations. Donald Pollert, a retired farmer, and Rob Bell, a service manager at a John Deere dealer, were two of many who entered this year's pull.
"It's a good group of people who take part in it," Pollert said. "You meet a lot of different people from different areas of the state, especially at the Winter Show. They come from all over."
The two contestants placed first in their weight division by using their antique tractors to pull a semi truck farther than anyone else in the division.
