Hi-Liner Football Bounces Back

Valley City High School's offense exploded for a 57-27 win at Dickinson Trinity on Friday night after being shut out against Dickinson in Valley City the week before.

Quarterback Jared Lentz completed 6 of 9 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns for a 178.9 passer rating.

Jack Jenson caught two passes for 22 yards and a score. Rodriguez took his lone catch of the night 44 yards for a score.

The Hi-Liners ran for 220 yards as a team on 30 carries. Nate Rodriguez ran four times for 46 yards and a touchdown. Gabe Brown carried five times for 50 yards and a score. Dustin Lindgren picked up 74 yards and a score on nine carries, and Eli Allen ran for 46 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

Jenson and Lindgren intercepted Trinity passes. Philip Mundfrom recorded both of Valley City's sacks and Jesse Hass forced a fumble.

Valley City (1-1) hosts East Region rival Grafton (1-1) on Friday, 7 p.m. at Hanna Field.
