Hi-Liner Baseball Falls to Fargo South

May 14, 2014

(Jake McNeal/Times-Record) Hi-Liner sophomore Ethan Zeltinger pitched 4.1 innings for four strikeouts in Tuesday’s 18-3 opening loss, then scored freshman Garret Suhr on a double to center in the second inning of the late 18-3 defeat.

Fargo South senior Cassidy Meyers batted in three runs on three hits in Tuesday’s early 16-2 win at Valley City before the Hi-Liners took a 3-2 lead but yielded 16 runs in the final three innings for an 18-3 loss.

“We didn’t hit much,” Hi-Liner senior Masyn Olson said. “We didn’t have many fielding errors, they just shelled us. But we’re talking better as a team, and our defense is better.”
