Good-Bye Lead

April 25, 2013

Workers erected containment barriers in the basement of the Valley City Law Enforcement Center while working on a lead removal project. The project should be complete in about two weeks and cost the city nearly $100,000.

Valley City is getting the lead out – of the Law Enforcement Center.
A lead removal team has gotten rid of about 40 percent of the lead in the building's basement which formerly housed a shooting range. While the city is unsure how the basement will be used in the future, it will likely never be a shooting range again.
