Food Truck Open in VC

July 17, 2014

A food truck is now open in Valley City, and it's set up at the Dakota Plains lot at 151 Ninth Avenue Northwest. Sandtastic Sandwiches and Catering, owned by Kenny and Mary McCarty, opened Tuesday, and the business will be set up at its current site Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The pair started their business a month-and-a-half-ago but set up at its current location Tuesday.

The mobile restaurant's menu features half-pound hamburgers, pulled pork sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, all-beef hot dogs, bratwursts, nachos and a special sandwich that's changed every couple of weeks.
The couple said they'd been thinking about opening a restaurant for a few years, and eventually turned their dreams into reality by opening the food truck.

"We don't want to be stuck, so if we want to go in the winter time to somewhere warm, it would still work," Kenny said.
The business also travels for catering services.

Valley City took two from LaMoure, Wednesday night, 10-0 and 7-6.
The Valley City Saints lost to Lamoure tonight 10-0.
Tony Bundy and Ken Didier took place in the 26th Annual Barnes County Wildlife Walleye Tournament....
