Rich Schuneman, US Army Corps of Engineers Baldhill Dam Resource Manager, gave an updated flood forecast during a Friday morning flood meeting to the Valley City City Commissionâ€” and the news is looking good.
"The melt â€” you couldn't ask for it to go any better," he said.
Schuneman said there's a 95 percent chance of the Sheyenne River in Valley City reaching 12.9 feet, which is below flood stage. A previous forecast predicted a 50 percent chance of moderate flooding.
