Fire Heavily Damages Valley City Apartment

An upstairs apartment in this Valley City rental house on Central Avenue South was heavy damaged in a fire early Sunday morning.

The occupant of an apartment on Central Avenue South received minor burns and the apartment was heavily damaged in a fire early Sunday morning, said Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath.
Valley City firefighters responded to the fire at 3:42 a.m., and discovered the fire in an upstairs apartment in a bedroom of the rental house.
