The producer of "Supermoto," a feature film being filmed in Tower City, Buffalo and other towns in Cass County, is looking for background actors in Kindred Friday.

According to an email from Matthew Myers, Fargo resident and award-winning producer, "One big casting challenge is a scene that requires dozens of 'background actors' — what the industry used to call 'extras' — to make it seem like a huge party is going on. For that, the production will need around 50 people, mostly in the 18-30 age range, who look like they have been working hard all week in industrial, agricultural, and service jobs, and they are cutting loose on a Friday night."

Filming of these scenes will begin Friday, Aug. 7 at 4 p.m. in Kindred, N.D., and last until 3 or 4 a.m. Anyone interested in being in the film should send an email to supermotocasting@gmail.com.  A stipend of $25 will be paid to anyone who joins the movie as a background actor. Food, beverages and transportation will be provided.  Buses depart and return from the West Acres Mall in Fargo.

Myers and writer/director Joe Maggio are spearheading "Supermoto," which, according to a release, tells the story of a young woman, played by Jeannine Kaspar, who wakes up one morning to discover her boyfriend has mysteriously vanished without a trace, leaving her with a few dollars, a toothbrush, racing leathers and a supermoto motorcycle as the only clues. She races out to the prairie of North Dakota to find him.
