Extreme Egg Drop

Taylor Ask and Hallie Halverson, second-graders in Jill Kvilvang's class, drop eggs in a homemade contraption 40 feet from the ground in the Valley City Fire Department's ladder truck.

Second-graders at Jefferson Elementary school ascended 40 feet into the air on a fire truck ladder during an egg drop project Thursday.
According to second-grade teacher Connie Schlittenhardt, who organized the event, the students had to create contraptions to keep eggs safe as they dropped them from the ladder.
