Wednesday, Nov. 23
-Firemen's Dance at the Eagles starts at 8:30 p.m., featuring "The Front Fenders".

Saturday, Nov. 26
-Mercy Hospital Foundation will host the Festival of Trees at the Eagles, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Monday, November 28
-The regular monthly meeting of the Barnes Rural Water District for November will be changed from the last Wednesday of the month to 6:15 today at the district office, 421 West Main St., Valley City.

-Valley City Retired Teachers will meet at Sabirs at noon for a program on travel.  Members are asked to bring an item to be donated to the Abused Persons Center.

-Come to the FREE movie premiere event of 25 Hill before it is released in theaters! "25 Hill" will show on Monday, Nov. 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the VCHS Theater. Come and join us as we celebrate the Valley City Soap Box Derby. Past champions will be on hand to show cars and talk about their racing experiences.

-Music students at Valley City State University will be featured in a general student recital on Moday, November 28 at 7:30 pm in Froemke Auditorium.  Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.

Wednesday, November 30
-There will be no story hour today at the Valley City-Barnes County Public Library from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Thursday, December 1
-Second Crossing Toastmasters will not meet Nov. 24. The club will meet at noon today in the Norway Room at the VCSU Student Center. Visitors are welcome.  For club information, call 845-2596.

-Valley City's annual Christmas at St. Catherine's concert will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 pm at St. Catherine's Church. The concert highlights the Christmas season through the choral music of the vocal ensembles at Valley City State University.

Friday, Dec. 2
-NDWS Northstar Classic open shows 8 a.m. and dance at the Eagles featuring "The Great Outdoors" 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

-Upstage Productions Presents “A Christmas Carol” at the City Auditorium at 7 p.m. ($8 adults & $5 children)

Saturday, December 3
-The Saturday Farmers Market will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. at 314 Central Ave. N. next to Valley Fashions.

-Valley City Masonic Lodge Scholarship Pancake and Sausage Breakfast 8 a.m. at the Valley City Masonic Lodge. Proceeds from the annual scholarship pancake and sausage breakfast will be used for local scholarships.

-Smithsonian Service Learning: Connecting Local Heritage with Local Learners at the Barnes County Historical Museum from 3-5 p.m. Enjoy desserts and hors d’ oeuvres from nations that made North Dakota great! VCSU students exhibit service learning projects on cultures and ethnic foods unique to VC.

-Holiday Lights Parade down Central Avenue at 5:30 p.m. - come see the float decorating contest!
-"Take Your Own Pictures” with Santa at Dutton’s Parlour after the Parade.
-SVFA Raffle Drawing and Treats at the Rosebud Visitor Center to follow the Parade.
-Barnes County Wildlife Club presents an Ice/Fish House Decorating Contest to follow parade in
Veteran’s Memorial Park—come out and vote for your favorite!

-Upstage Productions Presents “A Christmas Carol” at City Auditorium at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.
($8 & $5)
