DUI Law Fails Senate

Legislation aimed at tougher penalties for DUIs failed in the North Dakota Senate last week with opponents saying it would tie up the court system. Local law enforcement believe stiffer penalties could help reduce the incidence of drunk-driving in and around Valley City. Education aimed at reducing DUIs is also necessary.
