Drug Warrants Lead to 7 Arrests

Charges are to be brought against seven suspects after search warrants turned up methamphetamine, marijuana, heroine, and prescription drugs in Valley City. Here, Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson holds a package of amphetamine seized in a separate case.

Seven suspects were arrested in Valley City on a total of 20 narcotic-related charges late last month.
According to a press release from the Valley City Police Department, during the week of September 25, the Stutsman County Narcotics Task Force, which serves Stutsman, Barnes, LaMoure, Foster and Eddy Counties, served five narcotics-related searches in Valley City resulting in 17 felony charges and three misdemeanor charges that will be filed by the Barnes County State's Attorney against seven suspects.
Quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin and prescription medications were seized as evidence as a result of the warrants.
Locations of the search warrants and names of the suspects are being withheld as these investigations are continuing and more charges are expected to be filed, according to Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson.
The Stutsman County Narcotics Task Force and the Valley City Police Department requests that anyone with illegal narcotics information contact the VCPD at (701) 845-3110.
