Donations, Volunteers Needed for Community Christmas Eve Dinner

November 8, 2013

Community Christmas Eve dinner planning committee members from left are John Beil from Trinity Lutheran Church, Colleen Musgrave, chairperson from St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Rayma Fiegen from St. Catherine's Catholic Church, and Joe Lunde, from Faith Lutheran Church and the Salvation Army.

The annual community Christmas Eve dinner, held Tuesday, Dec. 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church dining hall, isn't just for members of the church — it's open to all who would like a traditional holiday feast of ham, turkey and side dishes, and company on Christmas Eve. Volunteers and funds are needed to keep the ritual going for its 42nd year.
Organizers ask the community for donations of desserts, such as bars and pies, salads and money to help fund the cost of food. Volunteers are also needed to serve that day. Donations can be sent to St. Catherine's Church, Attn: Christmas Eve Dinner 540 Third Avenue Northeast, Valley City, N.D. 58072. To volunteer or for questions, call chairperson Colleen Musgrave at (701) 840-9362.
