Donations Sought for Fire Victims

December 13, 2013

Danielle Lindemann/North Valley Photo. Becky Sundstrom and Andrew Gubrud, shown here with four-year-old Nellie, lost their rural Oriska home to fire last week. Dogs Daisy, Hector, Peanut and Astrid all died in the fire.

A fund has been established for an Oriska family who lost everything in a house fire last week.
On Dec. 4, everyone was gone when the home Becky Sundstrom shared with Andrew Gubrud and daughter Nellie was destroyed by fire. While the family was out of harm's way, their four dogs – Daisy, Hector, Peanut and Astrid – all perished in the blaze.
Sundstrom's co-workers at First Community Credit Union have set up a fund for the family. Donations can be sent to First Community Credit Union, 149 Fourth Street Northeast or P.O. Box 36, Valley City, ND 58072.
