Donald L. Jorgenson, 73, of Sibley, ND, died June 3, 2014 in his home.
Donald was born October 9, 1940 in rural Delamere, ND, to Charles Werner and Myrtle Magneson.
While attending Lisbon High School, Don worked at the Red Owl Grocery Store. After graduation Don served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960.
After the army Don moved to Buena Vista, CO, and began working at Climax Mines. He later retured to ND where he was a truck driver for Melroe Mfg. in Gwinner, ND.
Donald married Karen Isley on June 28, 1964 in Oakes, ND. The couple moved to Tacoma, WA in June of 1966 where Don was employed at Pittney Bowes. Don later worked for Boeing. The couple returned to Lisbon in 1974 where Don managed the Texaco Station. Then later returned to Melroe where he worked as a machinist.
They had two daughters, Donna (Loren) Lemer of Valley City, ND and Jodi (Jeffrey) Erickson of Lincoln, NE.
Don was an avid bowler, golfer and pilot. He was a past member of Lisbon Jaycees, Lisbon Airport Authority and a lifelong member of the VFW.
Donald is survived by his wife, Karen, their two daughters, Donna and Jodi, three sisters, Cecelia (Adam) Baumstarck, Linton, ND, Margaret Olson, Lidgerwood, ND, Darlene McCrackin, Grand Junction, CO. and a brother: Richard (Bev) Werner, Buena Vista, CO.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Karson Isley Lemer and his parents, as well as, Marvin Werner, Harold Werner, Robert Werner, Charles Werner, James Werner, Lorraine Moscowitz and Delores Lambertz.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 7 at 1 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Lisbon, ND with visitation one hour before service Saturday. Rev. Norm Anderson officiating.
