Development Corp. Approves $50K to Help Establish Movie Theater

Valley City has been without a movie theater for over a year, but the Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation hopes someone will step forward and open a theater after the corporation's $50,000 investment.

The Valley City-Barnes County Development Corp. has approved $50,000 to help establish a movie theater in Valley City. Development Corp. director of development Jennifer Feist said Wednesday, "We are letting the community know that the Development Corp. will support the establishment of a theater in Valley City with a $50,000 investment."
She said no one has committed to opening a theater yet, but is optimistic that one or more parties will step forward with this contribution.
