BISMARCK, N.D. â Gov. Jack Dalrymple today joined officials from Microsoft and Hitachi Consulting to announce a Fargo-based business venture between the technology companies that will create new North Dakota jobs and business opportunities.
âThis Fargo-based venture will create new jobs and great opportunities for business growth in North Dakota,â Dalrymple said. The decision by Microsoft and Hitachi Consulting to expand their business relationship in Fargo is a testament to North Dakotaâs strong business climate and our quality workforce.â
From Microsoftâs Fargo campus, Hitachi Consulting employees will supplement Microsoft Business Solutionsâ Information Technology (IT) team. Under the agreement, Hitachi Consulting will establish a technical development center that will provide sourcing, program management, program development and testing for Microsoft Business Solutionsâ IT organization.
Mike Gillis, senior vice president of Hitachi Consultingâs Microsoft Dynamics practice, credited North Dakotaâs business-friendly environment and educated workforce for playing a key role in the decision to establish a Fargo-based development center.
In the near term, Hitachi Consulting employees will work with Microsoftâs IT team from Microsoftâs Fargo campus. Long-term plans are for Hitachi Consultingâs Fargo-based team to move into their own location to further develop their business by servicing other world-wide customers.
