County not liable for power poles on Co. Rd 20

November 15, 2011

An temporary easement drawn up by States Attorney Brad Cruff and signed by Barnes County Commission President Cindy Schwehr releases the county from any liability on four power poles that are perilously close to the pavement on County Road 20.

The poles are approximately four feet from the roadway, and are temporary replacements for poles that were damaged in a fierce windstorm during the early morning hours of July 15.
