Contractors: Check 'Em Out

This house was condemned after last week's storm damaged its foundation. Dishonest contractors may try to take advantage of homeowners. Beware, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Last week, after Mother Nature dumped up to seven inches of rain on the area, a lot of damage was left behind in the wake. Unscrupulous contractors like to swoop in on victims of natural disasters and perform repairs that may be sub-par or done with shoddy materials. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
