Tuesday, June 7
The Barnes County Commission meets at 8 a.m. at the Barnes County Courthouse commission chambers.

Great Plains Food Bank is hosting its Summer Food Service Program Monday through Friday from 12-12:30 p.m. through Aug. 19 (excludes July 4) at Epworth United Methodist Church, 680 Eighth Ave. SW, Valley City. There are no income requirements, and any child age 18 or under may come to eat free lunches and enjoy fun activities.

United Way annual 18-hole, four-person golf scramble fundraiser event will be held at Bjornson Park Golf Course. Registration is from 11 to 11:45 a.m., and a shotgun start is at 12 p.m. To register, contact Lacy Undem, United Way board member, at (701) 940-8998.

District 24 of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party invites all interested people to attend the Presidential Caucus to be held beginning at 7 p.m. on June 7 at The Vault, 233 Central Ave. North, Valley City. A small campaign headquarters kickoff event will be held following all caucus related business.

The Valley City City Commission meets at 5 p.m. at City Hall.

Wednesday, June 8
Barnes County Public Library Circle Time with Melissa Lloyd is at 10 a.m., and story hour with city County Health is at 10:30 a.m.

Music at the Courthouse, featuring Adapt of Valley City, will be held at 7:15 p.m. on the Barnes County Courthouse Lawn in Valley City. The summer concert series is sponsored by the Valley City Parks and Recreation District, Bridges Art Council and Ingstad Family Media. A free-will offering is taken each night to support the continued work on the bandshell. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held at the Vault on Central Avenue or listen to KOVC or check the Parks and Rec website, www.VCParks.com, for details.

The Valley City Eagles Club hosts the state convention through June 11.

Thursday, June 9
Bridge City Cruise Night will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Central Avenue in Valley City.

Saturday, June 11
Homewood Gospel Festival will be held at the home of Tim and Becky Hager, 11116 40th St. SE, Valley City at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
