Monday, January 18
Barnes County On the Move will hold Liv Fit at the Fitness Center at 5:15 p.m.

Tuesday, January 19
The Barnes County Commission meets in the commission chambers of the Barnes County Courthouse at 8 a.m.

Barnes County On the Move will hold Walk Away Pounds at 11:30 a.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center.

Valley City Rotary Club will hold its annual pancake and sausage supper from 5-7 p.m. at the VFW Club. All proceeds benefit the Valley City State University V-10,000 scholarship fund.

The Valley City City Commission meets at 5 p.m. at City Hall.

Wednesday, January 20
Barnes County On the Move will hold yoga at 10 a.m. at Find the Balance, 123 Third Street Northeast, Walk Away Pounds at 11:30 a.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center and water walking at the Valley City State University pool at 6:30 p.m.

Barnes County's North Dakota State University Extension Office presents: Nourishing Boomers 50+ Beyond, Nourishing Your Muscles at Bridgeview Estates from 2:15 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

St. Catherine's Elementary School will hold a spaghetti supper from 5-7 p.m. in the gymnasium at 540 Third Avenue Northeast in Valley City.

Valley City American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Club. All members, new and current, are welcome.

Thursday, January 21
Barnes County On the Move will hold Walk Away Pounds at 11:30 a.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center and workout at St. Catherine's at 6 p.m.

Creative Therapy will host a Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event at its new office, 323 Central Avenue North, Suite 203, Valley City from 5-7 p.m. Coffee, samples and treats will be provided.

KLJ will hold a flood protection planning meeting for Neighborhood B, from the hospital bridge to the powerhouse, at 7 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club.

The Barnes County Historical Society Lecture Series Season 18 Presents: Dr. James and Sharon Buhr “Mystical India,” at 7 p.m., at the Barnes County Museum. All Lectures are at the Barnes County Historical Society Museum and held in conjunction with Valley City State University. They are free and open to the public. Friday, January 22
Jefferson Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization movie night features "Hotel Transylvania II" at 6 p.m. in the school's gymnasium.

Barnes County On the Move will hold Walk Away Pounds at 11:30 a.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center and line dance at noon at the Barnes County Courthouse.

Saturday, January 23
Sharp Shooter Showdown will be held at the Valley City Eagles Club. Registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Calcutta is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The tournament starts at 11 a.m. on 10 tables. For per-registration or questions, call Neil at 701-840-7642 or Casey at 701-840-0919. -

The sixth annual Sheyenne Valley Predator Hunt and Gun Raffle will be held at the Litchville Community Center from 6-6:30 p.m. A free meal will be served. Door prizes include a rifle for contestants. The Valley City High School Cafe Concert will be held at the Hi-Liner Activity Center. Tickets are available at the school. Saturday, 7 p.m.; Sunday, 3 p.m.; and Monday, 7 p.m.
