A Comet Party Invitation

March 8, 2013

The last bright comet VCSU's Dr. Joe Stickler remembers seeing in this area, was the Hale-Bobb Comet, pictured here in 1987 over the Hi-Line Bridge.

The Comet PANSTARRS will be making an appearance in the skies over North Dakota next week and a viewing party will be held at the Rosebud Visitors Center parking lot for anyone who wants to witness it.
"Comets are unpredictable," said Dr. Joe Stickler of Valley City State University, so he doesn't know what kind of show the comet will give its audience. "But it will be fun to watch," he added.
To learn how to witness next week's comet, read Friday's Times-Record.
