Cole Honl NSAA Baseball Player of the Week

(VCSU Athletics) Valley City State senior first baseman Cole Honl batted 7-for-14 with a grand slam, seven RBIs, five scored runs and two stolen bases against Presentation College.

Valley City State senior first baseman Cole Honl is the North Star Athletic Association Baseball Player-of-the-Week, the NSAA announced Monday.

Honl, the 6-foot-2-inch Moorhead, Minn. native, batted .500 and slugged .714 as the Vikings went 2-2 for the week against conference rival Presentation College. He picked up at least a hit in all four games, completing his two-day performance with a first-inning grand slam and two-run single in Saturday’s 14-0 series finale win.

Honl batted 7-for-14 with the grand slam and seven RBIs, scored five runs and stole two bases on two attempts.
