Bus Company Says Obey Stop Signs

March 26, 2014

Dietrich and Sons, Inc., which is the contracted bus service for the Valley City Public School District, wants to remind residents that they should not pass a school bus when the stop sign is up.

Brian Yanish, transportation safety specialist, said the company has seen a recent rise in people disobeying the law and driving through stop signs on the school bus when drivers are loading and unloading kids. He said bus drivers have observed 24 incidents in Valley City since the beginning of the school year.
