Bridges Bar and Grill celebrated its grand opening all last week. Celebrations included kids face painting, wine tasting, Valley City State University athlete autographs, music, an official ribbon cutting ceremony and more.
After opening in May, the bar and grill restaurant attached to the AmericInn has added some new menu items, and now serves an array of hand-pattied burgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps, wings, appetizers and more. The bar also has eight tap beers and a wide selection of beers and wines.
General manager Sean Miller told the Times-Record last month, "Business has been great thanks to the support of the local community and guests of the AmericInn. The key to our success has been great food and drinks served by a friendly staff that creates a fun, welcoming environment."
Bridges features an outdoor patio seating area that was very popular this summer, Miller said, as well as a Touchtunes jukebox that can be accessed from a smartphone app, six big screen TV's and a pull tab machine that benefits the Valley Twisters Gymnastic Club.
The restaurant was opened by VC Developers LLC, a group of local people who saw a need for such an establishment. The business is operated by Discover Lodging Management, Inc., the same company that manages the hotel.
