Julius Hoff, 88, Valley City,  died Monday, May 5, 2008, at Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City under Hospice of the Red River Valley Care.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Ellen Arthur officiating.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Lerud-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday morning. Interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck.

The funeral for Dorothy Thoreson, 80, Valley City, formerly of Nome, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Waldheim Lutheran Church, rural Kathryn. Burial will be in Memory Gardens near Valley City. She died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at her home in Bridgeview Estates under the care of her family and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Visitation is Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City. A prayer service will be held there beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the service in the church on Saturday.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City.
