BCN Students Volunteer for Christmas

December 20, 2013

John Samuelson, sixth-grade teacher at Barnes County North, helps his students count money for the Salvation Army Thursday. Students spent the day celebrating Christmas by helping others.

Students in John Samuelson's sixth-grade class at the Barnes North School district didn't have a typical Christmas party. Instead of staying in and exchanging gifts, Thursday they traveled to Valley City where they rang bells for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle drive, helped count Wednesday's kettle money, and shoveled sidewalks for others.
