BCN Students to Learn Manufacturing

Barnes County North staff members discuss a new program that allows students there to get a hands-on look at manufacturing.

Barnes County North students will get a first-hand look into the world of manufacturing thanks to a $48,665 North Dakota Education Technology Council (ETC) Classroom Transformation Grant.

‘Schoolwide Enterprise’ is an original concept that will provide all students in grades 6-12 with the opportunity to participate in a production department. Thirty minutes have been built into the high school schedule daily to reflect a real world manufacturing setting. Teams will design, research, market, manufacture and deliver products that can be created because of the technology funds that were awarded.
