Barnes County Rejects Campground, Seeking Consensus

September 18, 2013

Barnes County Commissioners have rejected a proposed new campground off Barnes County 21 near Lake Ashtabula, in hopes Scott Cole can reach an agreement with neighbors.
Commissioners rejected the plan for a campground with space for about 20 units after about six Getchell Township residents said they were uncomfortable with the proposal.
Commissioners voted 1-4 against the plan, with Rodger Berntson voting in favor.
